On our auto inflated trip in the USA, we came across a small chop shop owned by a cool guy named Matt. Matt owns Sled Alley, a small but impressive panel shop in Detroit where a modified car fanatic can go and get his or her ride slammed, smoothed, chopped and painted. He’ll even do a major engine/ driveline transplant just to guarantee you’re smoking the rears as you leave! Read More →
Rainy Daze
Bad weather saw the inaugural Chrome Daze car show held on the leafy grounds of Bundoora Park end up with a small but dedicated turnout of Chevy and Pontiac vehicle owners prepared to brave the elements to show their support.
Chamois were the order of the day although sometimes it felt like it just Read More →
Smokin the Seaworks!
Sunday morning saw a bunch of us gather at a local servo before cruising up the highway to Williamstown for the second Aces By The Bay car and bike show put on by the Smokin Aces Rod, Muscle and Custom club. The seaside suburb was just waking up as the rumble of cool rods, customs, hogs and muscle cars converged on the docks of the Seaworks Maritime precinct.

The perfect build!
We all have visions don’t we? Visions of the perfect job, the perfect house or for most of us reading this mag, visions of the perfect car! But how many of us are able to turn this vision into fruition? Well, one such person who was able to accomplish this is John and his vision involved one of the classics from the United States; a 1956 Chev! But visions don’t just happen! They’re created from experiences in the field of desire as we make our way through previous visions such as a modified 1968 Toyota, Jags, Fords, a t-bucket and 34 rod John had previously owned. Not that he’s complaining about owning these cool rides but ultimately they were the stepping stones to his final dream pieced together from these experiences. Read More →

GM fillies at the Turf Track
Headed up to the inland city of Ballarat today for the 2nd annual GM day put on by the good folk of the Ballarat and District Early Holden Car Club. Located at the Ballarat Turf Club, it catered well for the large number of GM made vehicles that turned up. Estimations were in the order of 450 seeing many of Holden’s finest on show as well as a good array of American made GM items. The quality was high giving the punters plenty to check out while making the judges work for their keep.
A number of clubs showed up in force including Read More →
