This was the question put to us leading up to the event and, by the look of the turnout, I guess many people said “YES!” KingPin Kuztums in conjunction with Melbourne Old School Cruisers were the combined force behind this indoor/ outdoor rockabilly come car show inspired event!

Although the start time was 11am, perfect for a Sunday morning, many fired up early with their cool custom rides and classic muscle cars and headed out to Dandenong South to grab a park and a coffee and take in the sights and sounds old school V8s and classic sixes rocking up for the jaunt!

The greatest show on earth!

This year, the show came to Melbourne, the Meguiars MotorEx auto show to be precise! For many years it spent its time at Homebush in Sydney but this year, event organiser, MotorActive Managing Director Bruce Morrison decided to give Melbourne a go and he wasn’t disappointed! The American pony rages on!

The city of Detroit has had its fair share of kicks brought on by the fallout of the GFC yet in true style that typifies a hard knock city with a motoring history, has managed to pick itself up, dust itself off and host one of the biggest automotive celebrations on the planet!

On the third Saturday of August, more than 30,000 muscle cars, hot rods, custom and collector vehicles came together to take part in what is considered the world’s biggest cruise, The Woodward Dream Cruise. Covering the 31 mile stretch of eight lane highway from Motor city to Pontiac, Woodward boulevard sees car enthusiasts from all over the United States, Canada and internationally come together to recreate what used to take place here in its heyday, cruising the strip! As part of this cruise, The Ford Motor Company have joined forces with the suburb of Ferndale located at the 9 mile marker for the fifteenth annual Mustang Alley. Read More →

That 1950s style and class!

Lead sleds are the epitome of cool customs in most car fanatics eyes, known for their sleek lines created by hours and hours of skilful metal work, ingenious and precise modifications from lowered and lengthened panel work through to frenched lights and aerials complimented by in your face front and rear bright work. Wild roof chops meant curious onlookers had to make an effort to take in the wild custom tuck n roll interiors with more mods than an aging celebrity.

Les Sherry first laid eyes on his custom Mercury at the start of the century. Located in the historical city of Ballarat, it was up for sale after the previous owner no longer wanted to pursue the “dream”. Read More →
