It was the Eastern suburb of Morrabbin’s turn to have their Saturday night turned upside down as the Big Bad Wolf brought its rolling rockabilly thunder clap of a party to their quiet brick veneer streets and it all went down at ALH’s Sandbelt Hotel!
Five rockin riotous bands belted out their sets in the function room as enthusiastic rockers kicked up their heels into the night while enjoying the bar, beverages and pub meals. Firing up the show was Lana and The Hot Rodders followed by Billy O’Neil and The Headliners, The antics of The Flying Saucers soon followed and then the rockabilly country stylings of the F100s with the ever popular Straight8s closing out the night! Now that’s a lineup!
What would a Big Bad Wolf Krooze Night be without the custom iron carpark and the Sandbelt carpark was going to be treated to the same treatment as all the previous carparks these rocking, rolling, custom cruisers have turned up at! While the cold autumn weather might have kept the numbers down, the quality and variety of rods and rides on show was still impressive!
Everything from roadsters, coupes, pickups, Mercs, Stangs, Aussie and American muscle, patina’d classics and chromed up cruisers along with cool bikes both motorised and pedalized could be found on show as the owners, accompanied by friends and family set about taking in the evenings entertainment!
As the Big Bad Wolf makes its way around our culturally reknowned city throughout the year, keep an eye out at your local venue as the party may be coming to your place, endeavouring to leave an impression that will be talked about long after the wolf has howled off into the night, sights set on the next burb that’s in need of a Big Bad Wolf custom rockabilly injection!
Cheers,
Greg
