Last Friday night in Geelong welcomed the first of hopefully many Meet & Greet car nights in our picturesque little town. I’ve been told by one of the organisers, Pozo who, along with the help of his saintly partner, Mel that it will be a regular event to be held in a different location each time. This’ll keep it fresh and interesting as the scenery changes with the seasonal weather.
For a first event, it was very impressive to see the large turnout of rides ranging from cool customs and classics through to tough street/ strip drag cars and late model rides especially for a mid-winters evening! there were even a few open top rods and classic bikes in the mix!
The Woolsheds was chosen for the location this time as friends of ours, Ryan and Bec were opening up their shop in the Geelong Motoring Museum. Rockabilly Adventures is a specialty shop catering for all your rockabilly clothing and accessories. If you’re in Geelong, pop in and see them as well as check out the recently established motoring inspired museum. There’s something for the whole family!
You can stay in touch with all the upcoming Geelong Meet & Greet events via my current email or if you’re on Facebook, follow their page here: Meet & Greet Fridays
Keep on cruzin,
Cheers,
Greg
