Christmas time is always a great time to catch up with family and friends and what better way to do that than coming together with our pride and joys for a coffee and chat! In this case, it was a coffee, cheese and bacon toastie and later, a BBQ all put on by Mr. Willis cafe in the bayside suburb of Hampton in Melbourne, Victoria!
Jimmy and the team opened early as cars of all genres cruised in to take in the laid back atmosphere of the breezy sunny Sunday. Celebrity status was upon us as Fletch from Classic Restos television (Check local guides for channel and times!) was on board to find some suitable rides and drivers to converse with about their classic machines for an upcoming episode! The morning past quickly but it wouldn’t be Christmas without a visit from Santa! Cruising in a classic XP Falcon convertible, Santa, complete with shades and the full dude look, arrived in a cruisy timely manner to hand out gifts to all the kids, both big and little!
It’s always great to see those who make the effort to support our favorite vocation with cars coming from as far as Geelong! These guys and girls like to support those who support them which is what keeps this hobby alive and thriving giving us many more happy miles of cruising to the many events put on by like-minded people, many who do it voluntarily simply because they like to contribute and I say hats off to these hard working enthusiasts!
I wish you all a merry Christmas and a happy new year and look forward to continuing to bring you more car articles, both feature cars and car shows!
Cheers,
Greg
