Big bad weather threatened to dowse the inaugural Big Bad Wolf social club gathering at the Keysborough Hotel last Saturday night but it couldn’t dampen the enthusiasm of all who attended this social occasion which was really just another excuse to get those custom rods and rides out and kick up our heels to the rockabilly beat at another of ALH’s venues!
Reports of storms and hail in nearby suburbs were relayed in via rockers and rodders as they arrived to the Eastern suburbs entertainment venue to take part in this newly developed social club, the brainchild of Rob Bellio of Kingpin Kuztums Clothing Inc. We counted ourselves lucky in Keysborough as we only received a brief shower of rain, certainly not enough to turn away all who attended.
The line-up of rockabilly bands for the evening catered for all tastes of this fifties jive with the Firebird Trio kicking it off at a cracking pace followed up by the dulcet tones of Kieron Mc Donald and closing out with Hanks Jalopy Demons!
Good food, good company, great music and plenty of cool rides was the order of the evening and a great way to kick start a new social club!
